There are many decisions to be made to ensure your wedding day is both memorable and enjoyable. The photographers you choose for your wedding play an important role in both regards. Remember that you will be spending virtually your entire wedding day with your photographers. It is important to find someone whose style and personality meshes with your own.
At Gilbertbrowning Studios, we will document your wedding in a photo journalistic yet unobtrusive style. Moving around the event looking for the “decisive moments” of your day is how we create our photographs. Our journalistic style allows you and your guests to enjoy those moments without interruption. The essence of your event captured in the highest quality photography is our studios goal. Working with different angles, cameras, and timing we will capture a creative perspective of your day. Our style creates powerful artistic images that will thrill and move you.

Our Photographers:
Gilbertbrowning Studios is the culmination of two photographers, Kirsty Gilbert and Jason Browning. It is impossible for one photographer to be everywhere at once. Therefore, true wedding photography can only be captured by having two people simultaneously covering the event. Two photographers shooting from separate angles and using different equipment helps to create a comprehensive documentation of your day. At Gilbertbrowning Studios, you not only get two photographers you also get the owners of the company. There is an obvious advantage in having the owners versus a photographer and assistant. As the owners of the company, we have a desire for every image to be of the highest caliber. As a couple, there are intimate connections between us that enable seamless movement and communication during your event. This ensures that no spontaneous moments or genuine interactions are overlooked.
Our Equipment:
Some photographers feel digital has taken away the style and character that film afforded them. We have continuously invested in the best equipment and software to enhance the creative process. We start by creating vivid colour images. We then recreate many Old World techniques such as rich black & whites, sepia, and other toning techniques to illustrate your day. Any hand coloring and retouching can be done upon request. Our in house digital studio utilizes cutting edge computer technology to provide us with total control. To ensure delivery of the highest quality images we shoot your entire wedding in a RAW file format (as opposed to a Jpeg format). Jpeg files restrict the ability of the photographer to properly enhance the images. These decisions allow us to focus all of our attention on creating memorable images. Over the years our digital production has developed into a style that is distinctly Gilbertbrowning Studios.
Working with Nikon’s top of the line D2Xs digital SLR and Leica M8 digital range finders deliver consistent quality and outstanding performance. Fully prepared with back up equipment and years of experience ensures every important image is recorded. Using flash diffusion paired with available light we capture the true emotion of your day. We offer top quality digital photography with a creative twist.
Our Clients:
Traditionally wedding photographers keep your images. At Gilbertbrowning Studios, we believe that wedding photography belongs to the couple and not the studio. Each package includes all your images on a DVD, so that for years to come you can reproduce your photographs. For your families posterity, you deserve to own the images we capture. At Gilbertbrowning Studios, we place quality above quantity. Accepting no more than 12 weddings a year ensures that you receive 100% of our creativity, talent, and energy. We wake up on your wedding day focused on you, and the events of your day. This ensures that you are provided with the highest quality wedding coverage available.
Once you have decided on Gilbertbrowning Studios, you will be given a contract and a wedding detail sheet. This gives us a schedule of your day, helps us determine how much color and/or black & white to use and distinguishes the key people of your day. Of course, you can always update us on any changes to your schedule as they develop. We will review the schedule with you 2 weeks before the big event to confirm all your details. This guarantees that the day goes smoothly.
Al a carte pricing allows us to tailor the perfect package to fit your needs. Ensuring you only pay for the things you want. We recommend reserving your date as soon as possible. A 25% deposit secures your date, and the balance is due 30 days prior to your wedding.
